The farm, Buena Vista, is located in the high altitudes of Gigante, Huila, where Alcidez Avendaño focuses almost exclusively on cultivating the Caturra variety. Caturra is celebrated for its exceptional cup quality, but its susceptibility to leaf rust and other diseases makes it a risky choice for many coffee producers in the region."
